About FenceCalc
FenceCalc exists because fence quotes are perimeter math wearing a contractor's confidence.
A fence is one of the few projects where the material list is almost pure arithmetic — perimeter divided by panel width, posts at panel spacing, concrete per hole. Yet quotes routinely disagree by 30% because each bidder rounds differently and pads differently.
Our calculators run the math visibly: panel counts with the awkward-end problem acknowledged, post holes sized to your fence height and wind exposure, stain coverage for both faces of every board, and lifetime cost comparisons between wood, vinyl, and chain-link.
We are educators, not installers. Nothing here sells fencing, and the calculators exist so your next three quotes can be compared against the same numbers.
